4 - Recording Adding marks manually when recording You can manually add a mark to a take where you want it when recording, allowing you to find that point again quickly during playback. NOTE Moving between marks is only possible when stopped, playing back or in playback standby.(See "Moving to marks" on page 45.) Adding marks when recording During recording when the Home Screen is open, to add a mark at a desired point, press the MULTI JOG dial when that point comes. NOTE • The maximum number of marks that can be added to a take is 99. The mark data is stored in the file. • You can also add marks when the unit is stopped, playing back or in playback standby. (See "Adding marks" on page 45.) • A mark added manually will be named "MARKxx"*. *The "xx" is a number given to all marks that is incremented in order. Setting the pause mode function You can set the pause mode function to either divide the file or not whenever you switch the unit from recording to recording standby (pausing). 1. Select the PAUSE MODE item on the REC OPTIONS page to open the PAUSE MODE screen. (See "Menu operation procedures" on page 16.) INPUT ROUTING screen CHANNEL 1-8 3. Set the signals input to the channel. Options: SLOT1 1- 8 (default for CHANNEL 1-8) SLOT1 9-16 (default for CHANNEL 9-16) SLOT1 17-24 (default for CHANNEL 17-24) SLOT1 25-32 (default for CHANNEL 25-32) SLOT1 33-40 (default for CHANNEL 33-40) SLOT1 41-48 (default for CHANNEL 41-48) SLOT1 49-56 (default for CHANNEL 49-56) SLOT1 57-64 (default for CHANNEL 57-64) SLOT2 1- 8 SLOT2 9-16 SLOT2 17-24 SLOT2 25-32 SLOT2 33-40 SLOT2 41-48 SLOT2 49-56 SLOT2 57-64 4. Confirm the setting and return to the Menu Screen. Making I/O card settings After installing an I/O card (sold separately) in SLOT 1 or SLOT 2, information about that card and its settings are available on the SLOT 1 or SLOT 2 page. 2. Set the pause mode function. Options SPLIT (default): Create a new file whenever recording is paused NO SPLIT: Do not create a new file whenever recording is paused 3. Confirm the setting and return to the Menu Screen. Setting input signal routing Set the input signal routing. 1. Open the INPUT ROUTING 1 page or the INPUT ROUTING 2 page and select the channel that you want to change. (See "Menu operation procedures" on page 16.) 2.
