7 - Internal Settings PARALLEL connector settings Use the PARALLEL INPUT and PARALLEL OUTPUT pages to make parallel connector input and output settings. PARALLEL INPUT page settings 88 INPUT AUX1 - INPUT AUX6 This shows the current functions set for INPUT AUX1 - INPUT AUX6 of the PARALLEL connector. Select INPUT AUX1 - INPUT AUX6, and press the MULTI JOG dial to open the PARALLEL INPUT screen. When INPUT AUX1 selected INPUT AUX1 - INPUT AUX6 items Set the functions for INPUT AUX1 - AUX6 of the PARALLEL connector. Options: PLAY/PAUSE PAUSE REC (default for INPUT AUX6) FADER REC (default for INPUT AUX3) FADER START REW (default for INPUT AUX4) F.FWD (default for INPUT AUX5) TAKE SKIP - (default for INPUT AUX2) TAKE SKIP + (default for INPUT AUX1) MARK SKIP - MARK SKIP + TAKE/MARK SKIP - TAKE/MARK SKIP + MARK NOTE • Setting multiple FADER REC and FADER START settings to INPUT AUX is not possible. • When set to FADER REC, low signal input starts recording and high signal input stops recording. • When set to FADER START, low signal input starts playback and high signal input pauses playback. • When set to anything other than the above, it operates with low signal input of 50 msec or longer. (See "Note about the PARALLEL connector" on page 12.) PARALLEL OUTPUT page settings 88 OUTPUT AUX1 - OUTPUT AUX5 This shows the current functions set for OUTPUT AUX1 - OUTPUT AUX5 of the PARALLEL connector. Select OUTPUT AUX1 - OUTPUT AUX5, and press the MULTI JOG dial to open the PARALLEL OUTPUT screen. When OUTPUT AUX1 selected OUTPUT AUX1 - OUTPUT AUX5 items Set the functions for OUTPUT AUX1 - AUX5 of the PARALLEL connector. Options: STOP TALLY (default for OUTPUT AUX1) PLAY TALLY (default for OUTPUT AUX4) PAUSE TALLY (default for OUTPUT AUX5) REC TALLY (default for OUTPUT AUX2) EOM TALLY ERROR TALLY (default for OUTPUT AUX3) EOM/ERROR TLLY NOTE When the INFO indicator is lit red, an ERROR TALLY signal is being output. 88 EOM This shows the setting status of the EOM (End Of Message) function. If the available recording time (when recording or in recording standby) or the total remaining playback time (when playing back or in playback standby) becomes less than the set time, an EOM tally signal will be output from the pin number of the PARALLEL connector that corresponds to any OUTPUT AUX1 - OUTPUT AUX5 item set to EOM TALLY or EOM/ERROR TLLY. Select the EOM item, and press the MULTI JOG dial to open the EOM screen. TIME item Set the amount of time that will cause an EOM tally signal to be output.
