5 - Working with Folders (BROWSE screen) 88 INFO Open a pop-up with the creation date and time of the selected folder. 88 CREATE Create a new folder. Take and file operations Select the desired take or file on the BROWSE Screen and press the MULTI JOG dial to open the pop-up file menu. If the selected file is not a take, the creation date and time and file capacity are shown. 88 CANCEL Close the file menu. Editing folder, take and file names 1. Select the folder, take or file with the name you want to edit, and open the folder/file pop-up menu. 2. Select the RENAME item to open the RENAME FOLDER, RENAME TAKE or RENAME FILE screen. Turn the MULTI JOG dial to select the desired operation, and press the MULTI JOG dial to execute it as follows. 88 ENTER (only when take selected) This shows the file list of the selected take. 88 SELECT (only when take selected) Set the selected take as the current take and return to the Home Screen. 88 RENAME Open the RENAME TAKE or RENAME FILE screen where you can edit the name of the selected take or file. (See "Editing folder, take and file names" on page 31.) 88 DELETE Delete the selected file. (See "Deleting folders, takes and files" on page 32.) 88 COPY Copy the selected file. (See "Copying folders, takes and files" on page 32.) 88 EDIT TC (only when take selected) Edit the start timecode of the selected take. (See "Editing the start timecode of a take" on page 33.) 88 INFO Open a pop-up with information about the selected take or file. If the selected file is a take, information is shown on two pages as follows. Press the MULTI JOG dial to switch between the two pages. For details about how to edit the text, see "Editing text" on page 26. 4. After you finish editing the name, select ENTER to confirm it. A Renaming... pop-up appears while the name is being changed. After renaming completes, the BROWSE screen reopens. CAUTION • You can connect the SSD/HDD to a computer and edit names from the computer. Doing so, however, could cause the order of the files to change when played back on the unit. • On a text input screen, characters other than English letters, numerals and symbols will not be shown. If text includes characters other than English letters, numerals and symbols, opening a text input screen will delete them. • The following symbols and punctuation marks cannot be used in text. Open a pop-up with the creation date and time of the selected
folder.

Create a new folder. (See “Creating new folders” on page 33.)

Close the folder menu.
Take and file operations
Select the desired take or file on the
BROWSE
Screen and press
the
MULTI JOG
dial to open the pop-up file menu.
Turn the
MULTI JOG
dial to select the desired operation, and
press the
MULTI JOG
dial to execute it as follows.

ENTER (only when take selected)
This shows the file list of the selected take.

SELECT (only when take selected)
Set the selected take as the current take and return to the Home
Screen.

RENAME
Open the
RENAME TAKE
or
RENAME FILE
screen where
you can edit the name of the selected take or file. (See “Editing
folder, take and file names” on page 31.)

DELETE
Delete the selected file. (See “Deleting folders, takes and files” on
page 32.)

COPY
Copy the selected file. (See “Copying folders, takes and files” on
page 32.)

EDIT TC (only when take selected)
Edit the start timecode of the selected take. (See “Editing the
start timecode of a take” on page 33.)

Open a pop-up with information about the selected take or file.
If the selected file is a take, information is shown on two pages
as follows. Press the

1.
Select the folder, take or file with the name you want to edit,
and open the folder/file pop-up menu.

RENAME
item to open the
RENAME FOLDER
,
RENAME TAKE
or
RENAME FILE
screen.
