54 Getting Started Adding optional external devices NOTE It is recommended that you do not touch the screen while powering ON or placing the device into Sleep mode, as the functionality may be affected. Adding optional external devices NOTE Before adding external devices, Toshiba recommends setting up your software. See "Initial setup" on page 50. After starting your device for the first time you may want to: ❖ Connect external devices (see "Connecting an external device" on page 67) ❖ Connect an external monitor (see "Using external display devices" on page 68) Recovering the Internal Storage Drive Your device includes recovery utilities to allow you to recover your internal storage drive if necessary. The following internal storage drive recovery options are available: Recovery option Description Creating a recovery drive (USB flash), using TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator This option allows you to create the recovery drive you will use to restore your device, using TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator. See "Creating a recovery drive using TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator" on page 55. Booting from a This option allows you to restore your device from recovery drive to the recovery drive (USB flash) you created with Restore your device TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator.
