CONTENTS GETTING READY SEWING BASICS UTILITY STITCHES Useful Functions Functions useful in improving sewing efficiency are described below. Automatically sewing reverse/ reinforcement stitches Press to select . 6 To return to , press . The sewing machine can be set to automatically sew reverse or reinforcement stitches at the beginning and end of the stitching. Whether reverse stitches or reinforcement stitches are sewn depends on the stitch that is selected. For details, refer to "Stitch Settings" (page 128). Turn on the sewing machine. 1 X The machine is now set to automatically sew reverse/reinforcement stitches. Press 7 (OK key). X The initial stitch screen appears again, and appears in the lower-left corner of the screen. X The LCD comes on. Select a stitch. 2 • When the sewing machine is turned off, the automatic reverse/reinforcement stitching setting is cancelled.
