s Sewing Stretch Fabrics 5 6 1 5 6 CONTENTS When sewing on stretch fabric with , sew the buttonhole stitches over a gimp thread. 1. Hook the gimp thread onto the back of presser foot "A". Insert the ends into the grooves at the front of the presser foot, and then temporarily tie it there. 1 Upper thread 1 - 2 - 2. Lower the presser foot lever and start sewing. Note Set the stitch width to the width of the gimp thread. 3 - 4 - 5 - 3. Once sewing is completed, gently pull the gimp thread to remove any slack, and trim off any excess.
