Configuring Standard QoS Chapter 28 Configuring QoS Enabling QoS Globally By default, QoS is disabled on the switch. Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to enable QoS. This procedure is required. Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Command configure terminal mls qos end show mls qos copy running-config startup-config Purpose Enter global configuration mode. Enable QoS globally. QoS runs from the default settings described in the "Default Standard QoS Configuration" section on page 28-27, the "Queueing and Scheduling on Ingress Queues" section on page 28-13, and the "Queueing and Scheduling on Egress Queues" section on page 28-15. Return to privileged EXEC mode. Verify your entries. (Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file. To disable QoS, use the no mls qos global configuration command. Configuring Classification Using Port Trust States These sections describe how to classify incoming traffic by using port trust states.
