If there are any nonpruning routers multiple hops away (downstream toward potential receivers) that are not rejected, a nonpruning DVMRP network might still exist. Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to prevent peering with nonpruning DVMRP neighbors. This procedure is optional. Step 1 Step 2 Command configure terminal interface interface-id Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Step 6 ip dvmrp reject-non-pruners end show running-config copy running-config startup-config Purpose Enter global configuration mode. Specify the interface connected to the nonpruning DVMRP neighbor, and enter interface configuration mode. Prevent peering with nonpruning DVMRP neighbors. Return to privileged EXEC mode. Verify your entries. (Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file.
