I PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION ! Wood edges away from rip fence when ripping. Sliding miter table aSSembly does not move smoothly, Saw does not make accurate 90 or 45 degree cuts. Blade adjusting handle is hard to turn, Rip fence is misaligned. Blade not properlyeh,_rpenedor set, Miter base or slides improperly adjusted, Posltlvestops inside cabinet need adiusting (BevelCuts): Miter gauge is misaligned(Miter Cuts). Gears or Screw Post inside cabinet are ckiggsd with dust. Check and adjustthe rip fence. Reeharpenor set blade. See page 26 for adjustments to sliding miter table assembLy. Adjust positivestops. Adjustthe miter gauge. Clean the gears or screw poet. Saw does not start. Motor cord or wall cord is not plugged in. Cirouitfuse is blown. Circuitbreaker is tripped. Cord or switch is damaged. Plug in motor cord or wall cord. Replace circu'_fuse. Reset circuit breaker. Have the cord or switch replaced at your Sears Service Center/Department. Blade makes poor cuts. Blade is dull or dirty. Blade is wrong type for cut being made. Blade is mounted backwards. Clean, sharpen, or replace blade. Replacewith correcttype. Remount blade. Blade does not lowerwhen turning blade adjusting handle. Motor taborsin rip cut, Back side of rivingknife has come in contact wff.hsaw table. Lockinglever is not at full left position. BJadenot proper for rip cut. Realignand adjust the rivingknife. Move _ocking lever to left. Change blade; rip blade typicallyhas fewer teeth. 47
