Range: 0 to 16777215 Default: 0. You should use a value that is consistent with the destination protocol. (OPTIONAL) The external link type associated with the default route advertised into a routing domain. You must specify one of the following: • external • internal (OPTIONAL) Routes are independently redistributed into IS-IS as Level 1 routes. Changing or disabling a keyword in this command will not affect the state of the other command keywords. When an LSP with an internal metric is received, the FTOS considers the route cost taking into consideration the advertised cost to reach the destination. Redistributed routing information is filtered with the distribute-list out command to ensure that the routes are properly are passed to the receiving routing protocol. How a metric value assigned to a redistributed route is advertised depends on how on the configuration of the metric-style command. If the metric-style command is set for narrow or transition mode and the metric value in the redistribute command is set to a number higher than 63, the metric value advertised in LSPs will be 63. If the metric-style command is set for wide mode, an the metric value in the redistribute command is advertised.
