CAUTION: Only a certified service technician should perform repairs on your computer. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell™ is not covered by your warranty. CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on your computer). Removing the Converter Card 1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin. 2. Remove the back cover (see Removing the Back Cover). 3. Remove the two screws that secure the converter card to the chassis. 4. Disconnect the cables from the connectors on the converter card. 5. Lift the converter card away from the chassis. 1 converter card 2 screws (2) Replacing the Converter Card 1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin. 2. Align the screw holes on the converter card with the screw holes on the chassis. 3. Connect the cables to the connectors on the converter card. 4. Replace the two screws that secure the converter card to the chassis. 5. Replace the back cover (see Replacing the Back Cover). CAUTION: Before turning on the computer, replace all screws and ensure that no stray screws remain inside the computer. Failure to do so may result in damage to the computer. 6. Connect your computer and all attached devices to electrical outlets, and turn them on.

Removing the Converter Card
1.
Follow the instructions in
Before You Begin
.
2.
Remove the back cover (see
Removing the Back Cover
).
3.
Remove the two screws that secure the converter card to the chassis.
4.
Disconnect the cables from the connectors on the converter card.
5.
Lift the converter card away from the chassis.
