Troubleshooting Table D-12: Is the NIC 1 or NIC 2 LED on the Server Blade Illuminated? Answer No Yes, it is blinking green. Yes, it is green. Possible Reasons The NIC is not connected to an active network connector. Possible Solutions Connect the NIC to an active network connector. Go to table D-13. Table D-13: Is the Monitor Displaying Information When Connected to the Server Blade Through the Diagnostic Adapter? Answer No Yes Possible Reasons The monitor may not have power. Video may not be connected properly. The diagnostic adapter may not be securely attached to the server blade. Nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM) may be corrupted. The system ROM and redundant ROM may be corrupted. Possible Solutions Be sure that the monitor power cord is plugged in and that the monitor power button has been pressed. Be sure the video connections are properly secured. Refer to "Video Problems" in the HP Servers Troubleshooting Guide. Tighten the thumbscrews to secure the diagnostic adapter to the server blade. Clear NVRAM. See Appendix E for the correct switch setting. If these steps do not solve the problem, contact HP or an authorized service provider for assistance. Video is available for diagnosis. Determine the next action by observing POST progress and error messages. Refer to the HP Servers Troubleshooting Guide for a complete description of each POST error message.
