Installing and Cabling the System Powering Down a Server Blade To power down a server blade: 1. Be sure that the server blade is not active. For specific information about server blade LEDs, see Table E-5 in Appendix E, "LEDs and Switches." 2. If the server blade is active, notify users and stop applications as necessary. 3. Shut down the operating system. This may shut off the server blade power. 4. If the server blade still has power, power down the server blade by either: - Using the Integrated Administrator or - Pressing the power button on the front of the server blade IMPORTANT: Refer to the HP ProLiant BL e-Class Integrated Administrator User Guide to power down the server blade using the Integrated Administrator. Powering Down a Server Blade
To power down a server blade:
1.
Be sure that the server blade is not active.
For specific information about server blade LEDs, see Table E-5 in Appendix E,
“LEDs and Switches.”
2.
If the server blade is active, notify users and stop applications as necessary.
3.
Shut down the operating system. This may shut off the server blade power.
4.
If the server blade still has power, power down the server blade by either:
— Using the Integrated Administrator
or
— Pressing the power button on the front of the server blade
