4 Transfer and print images You can use your dock to transfer images to a computer and to print them directly to a printer. Transferring images to a computer The way you transfer images may vary somewhat depending on the following factors. ● Windows or Mac computer ● Version of the operating system ● Whether or not the HP Photosmart Software is installed Note If you are using Windows 98 or Me, you must install the HP Photosmart Software to transfer images. ● Whether the camera's USB Configuration is set to Digital Camera or Disk Drive. Refer to your camera electronic User Guide for more information. 1. Place the HP camera in the dock and turn it on. 2. Press either the on the HP Premium Dock or the button on the remote. 3. Follow the directions on your computer screen. Refer to the on-screen help for more information. Save photos to your computer After you take photos with your digital camera, you can view them on your television or save them to your computer. To save them to your computer, you can dock the HP camera or remove the memory card from the camera and insert it in the memory card slot on the HP Wireless Dock Base. You can also set the camera to storage mode and connect it to the front USB port to save the photos to your computer. For information about connecting a digital camera that is in storage mode, see USB storage device. For more information about inserting memory cards, see Secure digital card. You can also use the HP Photosmart Software to import images to your computer. For more information, see the HP Photosmart Transfer Software section of the HP Photosmart Mac Help. To save photos 1. Dock the camera, insert a memory card into the appropriate slot on your HP Wireless Dock Base, or connect a storage device to the front USB port. The light blinks when the files are accessed.
