Chapter 6 Setup troubleshooting This section includes installation and configuration troubleshooting tips for some of the most common issues associated with hardware setup and software installation. Need to switch between Pal and NTSC. Solution 1. Press the Power button to turn on the Wireless Dock Base. Do not press any other button after turning on the power. 2. Press the following buttons in this order: a. Rotate b. Page forward  c. Page forward  d. Page forward  e. Delete The Error light will blink and the Wireless Dock Base will power off. 3. After all the lights on the Wireless Dock Base have gone off for several seconds, press the Power button to turn the power back on. The proper video signal should now be being sent. Software installation troubleshooting If you encounter a problem during software installation, see the topics below for a possible solution. During a normal installation of the HP Wireless Dock Base software, the following events occur: 1. The HP Wireless Dock Base software CD-ROM runs automatically. 2. The software installs. 3. The files are copied to your computer. 4. A green OK and check mark appear on an installation wizard screen. 5. You are requested to restart your computer. 6. The registration process runs. If any of these things did not occur, there might be a problem with the installation. To check the installation, verify the following: ● Start the HP Solution Center and check to make sure the Transfer Images button appears. Cause
Video signal setting is incorrect. Need to switch between Pal and NTSC.
Solution
1.
Press the
Power
button to turn on the Wireless Dock Base. Do not press any
other button after turning on the power.
2.
Press the following buttons in this order:
a.

d.
Page forward
e.
Delete
The Error light will blink and the Wireless Dock Base will power off.
3.
After all the lights on the Wireless Dock Base have gone off for several
seconds, press the Power button to turn the power back on.
