Economy settings Print with EconoMode EconoMode uses less toner, which might extend the life of the print cartridge. HP does not recommend the full-time use of EconoMode. If EconoMode is used full-time, the toner supply might outlast the mechanical parts in the print cartridge. If print quality begins to degrade and is no longer acceptable, consider replacing the print cartridge. 1. On the File menu in the software program, click Print. 2. Select the product, and then click the Properties or Preferences button. 3. Click the Paper/Quality tab. 4. Click the EconoMode check box. Powersave modes The adjustable sleep mode feature reduces power consumption when the product has been inactive for an extended period. You can set the length of time before the product enters sleep mode. NOTE: This mode does not affect product warm-up time. Set sleep delay 1. At the control panel, press the OK button to open the menus. 2. Open the following menus: ● System Setup ● Energy Settings ● Sleep Delay 3. Select the time for the delay, and then press the OK button. NOTE: The default value is 15 minutes. Set the Auto Power Down delay 1. At the control panel, press the OK button to open the menus. 2. Print with EconoMode
