Add-On Devices Using Plug-In Modules Using Plug-In Modules You can use the plug-in module in your notebook: • DVD drive (selected models). • DVD/CD-RW combo drive (selected models). • Weight-saving module (to reduce travel weight and protect your module bay). CAUTION To replace a plug-in module Before disconnecting a plug-in module, you must turn off the notebook-otherwise, you could lose data and damage the equipment. Handle and store a module carefully when it's out of the notebook. Do not drop it or apply excessive pressure to its surfaces-this could damage its internal mechanisms. Do not touch the metallic pins on the notebook's connectors or the module connectors. Static electricity can damage internal components. 1. Turn off the notebook: click Start, Turn Off Computer, Turn Off. 68 Reference Guide
