Switch Admin Window Switch Information Field Descriptions The Switch Information fields are described in Table 18. Table 18: Switch Information Field Descriptions Field Name Domain ID Manufacturers Serial # Supplier Serial # Switch Status Enable / Disable View Report DNS Server 1 DNS Server 2 Domain Name Description Name and ID Display or modify the current switch name. The switch name can be from 1 to 15 characters in length. Displays or sets switch domain ID. Domain IDs must be unique within a fabric. Domain ID can only be modified when the switch is disabled. The switch must be disabled to change domain ID. To change domain ID, enter new domain ID in this field. ■ Use a number from 1 to 239 for normal operating mode (FCSW compatible) ■ Use a number from 0 to 31 for VC encoded address format mode (backward compatible to StorageWorks Fibre Channel Switches 8 and 16). Displays the Manufacturer serial number of the switch (Read only). Displays the Supplier serial number of the switch, if applicable (Read only). Select the Enable radio button to enable the switch, or the Disable radio button to disable the switch. Click this button to view a report of the selected switch. Email Configuration Display or modify the first DNS Server name. Display or modify the second DNS Server name.
