13.3 Cannot configure settings/cannot send faxes according to the settings 13 13.3 Cannot configure settings/cannot send faxes according to the settings Check the following items when you cannot configure settings of the fax driver or cannot send a fax according to the settings you have configured. Reference - Some items for the fax driver may not be configured simultaneously. Problem Cannot select items in the FAX driver printing preferences dialog box. A "conflict" message saying "unable to configure" or "function will be cancelled" appears. Cannot send a fax according to the settings you have configured. Garbled characters are detected in the destination. Cause Some functions cannot be combined. You are trying to configure the functions that cannot be combined. The settings may not be configured correctly. The selected functions can be combined in the fax driver, but not on this machine. The paper size or paper orientation specified in the application may take precedence over the settings in the fax driver when sending a fax. It may be impossible to obtain any outline image from the OS. Remedy Grayed out items cannot be configured. Check carefully the functions you have specified, and then specify the functions that can be combined. Check the setting of each item of the fax driver. Configure settings in the application correctly. When garbled characters are detected in the destination, set download fonts to bitmap fonts, and also set printer fonts to OFF. bizhub 42/36 13-7
