7.2 Receiving (G3: With external telephone connected) 7 Remote RX Remote reception is the function for giving this machine the command to receive a fax by entering a remote reception number from an external telephone. To use remote reception, [Admin Settings] ö [Fax Settings] ö [Comm. Settings] ö [RX Mode] must be set to [Manual RX], and the Remote RX No. (2 digits) for remote reception must be set. Receiving The external telephone rings Pick up the receiver, type in the remote reception number (2 digits). When the external telephone rings, pick up the receiver, and then check that a fax is being sent. With the external telephone, type in the remote reception number (2 digits). Replace the telephone receiver. d Reference For details on Comm. Settings, refer to the [User's Guide Administrator Operations]. For details on Remote RX Settings, refer to page 11-6. Reference - Remote RX No. can be entered using Keypad (0~9), *, and #. - When using remote reception with pulse dialing, the telephone must be switched to the tone by external telephone. Remote RX is not available for external telephone without this function. For details, refer to the instruction manual for the telephone. 7.2.2 DRPD Select this mode when using DRPD (Distinctive Ring Pattern Detection). Specify this mode when both a telephone number and a fax number are allocated for one telephone line. If the receiver rings with the pattern selected from the four ring patterns available, the incoming call is automatically received as a fax. In order to use DRPD, the following settings are required. - External telephone: Connected - [Admin Settings] ö [Fax Settings] ö [Comm.
