7.5 Printing upon data reception 7 7.5.3 Printing at reduced size to fit the paper size to be printed If a document size longer than the standard size is received, the optimal paper size is determined based on the width and length of the received document and printed accordingly. If the optimal-size paper is not loaded in the paper tray, the document size is reduced to the near-size paper. Original Received document Reduce the size to fit onto paper The following describes the procedure to determine the optimal paper size and criteria for selecting the paper size. Step 1: Select optimal paper size Determines the optimal paper size based on the width and length of the received document according to the following rule. Width of received document A4-width [Inch Paper Prior- Print position of ity] [Footer Position] [OFF] [ON] [RX Ft. OFF] or [Inside Body Text] [Outside Body Text] [RX Ft. Step 2: Select actual print paper size Checks whether the paper size determined in Step 1 is loaded in the machine or not. - Optimal paper size loaded: Printing starts. - Optimal paper size unavailable, or [User Settings] ö [Machine Settings] ö [Paper Tray Settings] ö [Au- to Tray Switch] is set to [OFF]: The alternative paper size is searched for in the descending order as shown in the table.
