To Replace The Sensor Flag: Unless necessary, do not replace the sensor flag when replacing the sensor. 1. With diagonal pliers, cut the post and two tabs [5] off as flush as possible. 2. Unsnap both ends of the sensor flag from the paper guide. Carefully remove the sensor flag spring [4] from the bottom end of the sensor flag. 3. Pivot the upper tip of the sensor flag downward through the open area just to the right of the center feed roll and lift the lower end of the flag until it becomes free. 4. The sensor flag spring hooks over the lower arm of the flag. Be sure the point of the sensor flag is kept in the paper path by the spring force. Be sure the leaf spring [2] is in contact with the lower feed roll shaft. Repair Information 4-65

To Replace The Sensor Flag:
Unless necessary, do not replace the sensor flag when replacing the
sensor.
1.
With diagonal pliers, cut the post and two tabs [
5]
off as flush as
possible.
2.
Unsnap both ends of the sensor flag from the paper guide.
Carefully remove the sensor flag spring [

] from the bottom end
of the sensor flag.
3.
Pivot the upper tip of the sensor flag downward through the
open area just to the right of the center feed roll
and lift the lower end of the flag until it becomes free.
4.
The sensor flag spring hooks over the lower arm of the flag. Be
sure the point of the sensor flag is kept in the paper path by the
spring force. Be sure the leaf spring [
