Using printer menus Image Menu This menu selection is used to change the size or orientation of a printed image, or to invert a printed image. Menu selection Auto Fit Purpose Selects optimal paper size, scaling, and orientation. Values On* Off Invert Scaling Orientation Inverts bi-tonal monochrome images. Scales the image to fit media size. Sets the image orientation. On Off* Anchor Top Left Best Fit* Anchor Center Fit Height / Width Fit Height Fit Width Portrait* Landscape Rev Portrait Rev Landscape Note: When set to On, this setting overrides the scaling setting and can override the orientation setting for some images. Note: Does not apply to GIF or JPEG. Note: When the Auto Fit setting is set to On, Scaling is automatically set to Best Fit. Portrait*-Prints text and graphics parallel to the short edge of the paper. Landscape-Prints text and graphics parallel to the long edge of the paper. Security This menu selection is used to set security levels on individual print jobs requiring a PIN and securing an installed hard disk. Menu selection Max Invalid PIN Job Expiration Purpose Limits the number of times an invalid pin number can be entered. Limits the amount of time a confidential job stays in the printer before it is deleted. Values Off* 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Off* 1 hour 4 hours 24 hours 1 week • This menu selection only appears if a hard disk option is installed. • The printer counts the number of times in a row an invalid pin for a user name is entered. • Once the limit is reached, the jobs for that user name are deleted. 29
