English CONTROL MENU KEY LOCK SETTINGS Prevents the monitor from being controlled by the button on the monitor. When [ACTIVATE] is selected, all of the settings are activated. NOTE: • • [KEY LOCK SETTINGS] is a function intended only for the buttons of the monitor. This function does not lock out access to the buttons on the remote control. To activate the control key lock function, press the button and the button and hold down simultaneously for more than 3 seconds. To resume user mode, press the button and the button and hold simultaneously for more than 3 seconds. MODE SELECT Selects the mode [UNLOCK], [ALL LOCK] or [CUSTOM LOCK]. UNLOCK All buttons are available for normal operations. ALL LOCK Locks all buttons on the monitor control panel. CUSTOM LOCK All remote buttons are locked except for the following buttons, which can be individually set to be locked or unlocked. POWER: Select [UNLOCK] to be able to use the POWER button when the IR Remote is locked. Select [LOCK] to lock the button. VOLUME: Select [UNLOCK] to be able to control the volume with the VOL +/- button when the IR Remote is locked. The volume can only be adjusted within the range set for MIN VOL and MAX VOL. Select [LOCK] to prevent volume adjustment. When activating the volume lock, the display volume will immediately change to the MIN VOL value. MIN VOL and MAX VOL: The volume buttons are unlocked and the volume level can only be adjusted within the MIN and MAX range set. VOLUME must be set to [UNLOCK] for this function. INPUT: Select [UNLOCK] and then select up to 3 input buttons to remain unlocked. Select LOCK to lock all input buttons. CHANNEL: Select [UNLOCK] to be able to change channels with the CH/ZOOM +/- button when the IR remote is locked. Select [LOCK] to lock these buttons. ACTIVATE / DEACTIVATE: Select [ACTIVATE] to activate all settings. To return to normal operation pressand-hold the DISPLAY button for more than 3 seconds. DDC/CI DisplayPort2, DVI, VGA (RGB) inputs only ENABLE/DISABLE: Turns [ON] or [OFF] the two-way communication and control of the monitor. PING Confirm successful connection with the network by communicating with a preset IP address. IP ADDRESS Sets an [IP ADDRESS] for sending [PING]. EXECUTE Checks a reply can be sent to the monitor or not from the [IP ADDRESS] by sending [PING]. IP ADDRESS RESET Resets [IP ADDRESS SETTINGS] back to factory settings. AUTO DIMMING Adjusts the backlight of the LCD automatically depending on the amount of ambient light. AUTO BRIGHTNESS*2 DVI, DisplayPort1, DisplayPort2, VGA (RGB), MP, OPTION*3 inputs only Adjusts the brightness level according to the input signal. NOTE: Do not select this function when [ROOM LIGHT SENSING] function is any setting other than [OFF]. BACKLIGHT DIMMING*2, *4 Automatically adjusts each of the clusters of the backlight of the LCD independently, according to the input signal. NOTE: If [AUTO BRIGHTNESS] is set to [MODE 2], this function is not available. *2: The function is available only when connecting the optional sensor unit. *3: When you select [OPTION] for signal input, this function depends on which Option Board installed in the monitor. *4: For UN492S, UN492VS, UN552S, UN552VS only.
