xp CDR 800/17.1 eng. 25-07-2001 15:12 Pagina 13 English Digital coaxial connections via a digital receiver If you have a receiver with digital coaxial in- and outputs, these connections allow you to make digital recordings from various sources, connected to the receiver. DIGITAL 1 RECEIVER Installation Demo mode The demo mode displays various features of the set and will start automatically when no key has been pressed for several minutes or during Standby mode. To cancel demo mode 0 Keep STOP 9 on the set pressed for at least 5 seconds. ➜ The demo mode is cancelled permanently. 1 CD RECORDER CD RECORDER 1 Connect a digital coaxial cord between the DIGITAL INand OUT jacks on the set and e.g. the (digital) AUX in- and output jacks on the digital receiver. ➜ Any digital device, connected to the digital input jacks of the digital receiver (e.g. CD and DVD) can now be used as recording source. Power supply 3 The type plate is located on the rear of the set. 1 Check whether the power voltage as shown on the type plate corresponds to your local power voltage. If it does not, consult your dealer or service organisation. 2 Make sure all connections have been made before switching on the AC power supply. 3 Connect the power cord supplied to AC MAINS ~ and to the wall outlet.This switches on the AC power supply. 4 Press POWER to switch on the set. ➜ WELCOME TO PHILIPS AUDIO will be displayed. 0 Press POWER again to switch off the set. When the set is switched off, it is still consuming some power.To disconnect the set from the power completely, remove the power plug from the wall outlet. 13
