Status Bar The Status Bar displays icons to show network status, battery power, and other details. 3G Coverage: 3G system is available. 3G Connection Active: Device is active on a 3G system. Signal Strength: Current signal strength. The greater the number of bars, the stronger the signal. Roaming: Your device is outside the home coverage area, and roaming mode is active. Airplane Mode Active: All wireless communications are disabled. See "Airplane mode" on page 96. System Alert: Check Notifications Panel for alerts. Battery Level: Shown fully charged. Charging Indicator: Battery is charging. Device Power Critical: Battery has only three percent power remaining. Charge immediately. USB Connected: Device is connected to a computer using a USB cable. New Message: You have new message(s). 20 New Email Message: You have new email. Alarm Set: An alarm is active. For more information, refer to "Alarm Clock" on page 82. Silent mode: All sounds except media and alarms are silenced. See "Silent mode" on page 102. Vibrate mode: Silent Mode and Vibrate Mode are active. See "Vibrate" on page 102. : Device is active on a 3G system.
Signal Strength

the number of bars, the stronger the signal.
Roaming
: Your device is outside the home coverage
area, and roaming mode is active.
Airplane Mode Active
: All wireless communications
are disabled. See
