124 APPENDIX A: TELEPHONE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE Wall-Mount Position To mount a device on a wall, put the bracket on the opposite end of the telephone in the low-profile position. Pull and twist the knob on the underside of the phone 90 degrees (Figure 16) so that the spring- loaded peg projects out on the top of the phone (Item 1 in Figure 17). Figure 16 Knob for the Handset Support Peg Figure 17 shows an 3Com 2102 Telephone in the wall-mount position. Safe wall mounting requires 3/4-inch drywall and 1.5-inch drywall screws.
