6 External Connections Video Output Configuration External Connections 6 The video signal output from the HD/SD SDI (b only), HDMI OUT and HD/SD COMPONENT OUT terminals depends on the clip's video configuration, the capability of the external monitor (for video output from the HDMI OUT terminal) and on various menu settings. Video output from the AV or VIDEO 2 terminal will always be in 480/60i standard. Operating modes: External Connections Video Output Configuration Video Output Configuration by Terminal Refer to the following table for the video output configuration from each terminal. If necessary, you can superimpose the onscreen displays on the video displayed on the external monitor (0 147). Video Output Configuration by Terminal Terminal J HD/SD SDI1, 2 (b only) Recording frame size / Frame rate L HD output SD output 1080/60i 1080/30P 1080/24P 1080/60i 480/60i5 1080/slow or fast motion 720/60P 720/30P 720/24P 720/60P 480/60i5 720/slow or fast motion HDMI OUT2, 3 HD output SD output 1080/60i 480/60P 720/60P 480/60P HD/SD COMPONENT OUT2, 4 HD output SD output 1080/60i 480/60i 720/60P 480/60i AV or VIDEO 2 SD output 480/60i 480/60i 1 Set [N Video Setup] [SDI Output] to [HD], [SD] or [Off]. 2 When you set [M LCD/VF Setup] [HD Output] (under [Zebra]) to [On], you can display zebra patterns on an external monitor. In such case, output from the HD/SD SDI terminal (b only) and HD/SD COMPONENT OUT terminal will be in HD, regardless of their setting. 3 Video output will automatically switch to HD or SD, depending on the capability of the external monitor. 4 Set [N Video Setup] [Component Output] to [HD] or [SD]. 5 When output from the HDMI OUT terminal is SD (480/60P), the output of the HD/SD SDI terminal will also be 480/60P. 143
