Item IP Address Subnet Mask Default Gateway Description Default Value Set the IP address of the scanner. If DHCP is enabled, the IP address obtained from it will be applied. The value must be four decimal numbers separated by dots and expressed in the [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] format. None Set the subnet mask of the scanner. If DHCP is enabled, it provides the subnet mask. The value must be four decimal numbers separated by dots and expressed in the [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] format. When set to [0.0.0.0], a subnet mask appropriate for the IP address is automatically used. None Set the IP address of the scanner gateway. If DHCP is enabled, it provides the default gateway. The value must be four decimal numbers separated by dots and expressed in the [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] format. Also, the gateway needs to be running in the same subnetwork as the scanner. If [0.0.0.0] is set, this setting is disabled. None mDNS Setting If you click [mDNS Setting] on the left menu, the page below is displayed. Item mDNS Description Default Value Enable/disable multicast DNS. This setting allows scanning applications to search for and automatically connect to the scanner. This is normally enabled. ON When the setting is disabled, you must manually specify the scanner using its assigned IP address to scan from the scanning application. 102
