3 Setup LAN Settings The default wired LAN interface settings, including the default DHCP and VLAN parameters, might not work correctly for your network. By default, the DHCP client on the access point broadcasts requests for network information. To use a static IP address, you must disable the DHCP client and manually configure the IP address and other network information. The access point default management VLAN is VLAN 1. This VLAN is also the default untagged VLAN. If you have configured the management VLAN on your network with a different VLAN ID, you must change the VLAN ID of the access point management VLAN. LAN Settings
The default wired LAN interface settings, including the default DHCP and VLAN
parameters, might not work correctly for your network.
By default, the DHCP client on the access point broadcasts requests for network
information. To use a static IP address, you must disable the DHCP client and
manually configure the IP address and other network information.
The access point default management VLAN is
VLAN 1
. This VLAN is also the
default untagged VLAN. If you have configured the management VLAN on your
network with a different VLAN ID, you must change the VLAN ID of the access
point management VLAN.
To configure the LAN interface settings, click the
LAN Settings
tab.
