Section 3 - Configuration Configuring Groups The Group configuration information can be viewed by clicking Call Server > Groups. Groups can be of two types • UserGroup • Hunt Group The user group is specifically used for determining user privileges during Call Pickup. A particular user can pick up calls for him on another extension only if that extension belongs to the same user group as him. A new Group can be added by clicking Add New. A unique Id needs to be given to each Group. Group Type distinguishes between a user group and a hunt group. The mode field is relevant only to a hunt group. A hunt group can be configured in one of four modes (First Only /Sequential /Parallel/Distributed). Members in a user group are added when the user is actually added to the call server. Hunt Group members can be added/edited/deleted by clicking the edit button in the 'View members' page. Note: Each Group (User/Hunt Group) can have a maximum of 20 users.
