Procedure 1 Align the screw holes on the optical-drive brackets with the screw holes on the optical drive and replace the screws that secure the optical-drive brackets to the optical drive. 2 Connect the power and data-cable connector to the optical-drive assembly. 3 Align the screw holes on the optical-drive assembly with the screw holes on the chassis. 4 Replace the screws that secure the optical-drive assembly to the chassis. Replacing the Optical Drive

Procedure
1
Align the screw holes on the optical-drive brackets with the screw holes on the
optical drive and replace the screws that secure the optical-drive brackets to the
optical drive.
2
Connect the power and data-cable connector to the optical-drive assembly.
3
Align the screw holes on the optical-drive assembly with the screw holes on the
chassis.
4
Replace the screws that secure the optical-drive assembly to the chassis.
Postrequisites
1
Replace the back cover. See "Replacing the Back Cover" on page 18.

Follow the instructions in "After Working Inside Your Computer" on page 13.
