Procedure 1 Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the memory-module connector. 2 Slide the memory module firmly into the connector at a 45-degree angle and press the memory module down until it clicks into place. NOTE: If you do not hear the click, remove the memory module and reinstall it. 2 3 1 1 tab 3 memory module 2 memory-module connector 3 Slide the tabs on the memory-module shield into the slots on the system-board shield and slide the memory-module toward the top of the computer. 4 Replace the screw that secures the memory-module shield to the system-board shield. Procedure
1
Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the
memory-module connector.
2
Slide the memory module firmly into the connector at a 45-degree angle
and press the memory module down until it clicks into place.
NOTE:
If you do not hear the click, remove the memory module and reinstall it.

Slide the tabs on the memory-module shield into the slots on the
system-board shield and slide the memory-module toward the top of the
computer.
4
Replace the screw that secures the memory-module shield to the
system-board shield.
Postrequisites
1
Replace the back cover. See "Replacing the Back Cover" on page 18.

Follow the instructions in "After Working Inside Your Computer" on page 13.
