Replacing the Hard Drive WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer and follow the steps in "Before You Begin" on page 11. Exercise care when handling the hard drive. Procedure 1 Align the screw holes on the straps with the screw holes on the hard drive and replace the screws that secure the straps to the hard drive. 2 Connect the power and data-cable connector to the hard-drive assembly. 3 With the straps facing up, align the hard-drive assembly screws with the slots on the hard-drive cage, and then gently press down the hard-drive assembly. Postrequisites 1 Replace the stand. See "Replacing the Stand" on page 22. 2 Replace the back cover. Procedure
1
Align the screw holes on the straps with the screw holes on the hard drive and
replace the screws that secure the straps to the hard drive.
2
Connect the power and data-cable connector to the hard-drive assembly.
3
With the straps facing up, align the hard-drive assembly screws with the slots on the
hard-drive cage, and then gently press down the hard-drive assembly.
Postrequisites
1
Replace the stand. See "Replacing the Stand" on page 22.

Replace the back cover. See "Replacing the Back Cover" on page 18.
