Setting the Password (Security) Options The SETUP program lets you enter, change, or disable an optional password to control who can access your system. The following table lists the available options. Security options Select If I Disable* You do not want to set a password Setup Access System Access You want to set a password to use the SETUP program I You want to set a password to use the system (computer), including the SETUP program l Default setting If you select Setup Access, you'll see the password prompt only when you use the SETUP program. If you select System Access, you'll see the password prompt both for the SETUP program and whenever the computer boots (loads the operating system). Follow these steps to enter a password: 1. Move your cursor to the Security option. 2. Use I-] or m to select either Setup Access or System Access. The menu at the bottom of the screen now contains the following prompt: to Set/Change Password 3. Press [Enter]. 4. You'll see the following prompt in a window at the center of the screen: Enter Password: Running the SETUP Program 2-9

Setting the Password (Security) Options
The SETUP program lets you enter, change, or disable an
optional password to control who can access your system. The
following table lists the available options.

you’ll see the password prompt

Follow these steps to enter a password:
1.
Move your cursor to the Security option.
