8.4 Multifeed Detection fi-6140 / fi-6240 Image Scanner Operator's Guide TROUBLESHOOTING CONTENTS MAP TOP 8.4 Multifeed Detection "Multifeed" is a feeding error that occurs when two or more sheets in the ADF paper chute are fed simultaneously into the scanner. If you continue scanning document without knowing this multifeed error, you could skip some of important data while scanning the document. The Multifeed Detection function this scanner provides can prevent such troubles. With the Multifeed Detection, the scanner indicates a message and halts the scanning immediately when a multifeed is detected. (Note that the Multifeed Detection is not available for the range about 30 mm from the leading edge of document.) Configure the settings for the Multifeed Detection as follows. 1. Start up the Software Operation Panel. See Section "8.1 Scanner Settings." 2. 8.4 Multifeed Detection
