Chapter 3: Pre-Production This chapter details the steps required for pre-production, including the import of media into the Media Room's library, the capture of media within CyberLink PowerDirector and setting your CyberLink PowerDirector preferences. Importing Media If you already have video files, music and images that you want to use in your production (for example on your computer's hard drive, a removable device, etc.), you can import the files directly into CyberLink PowerDirector's library in the Media Room. CyberLink PowerDirector supports the following file formats: Image: JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, PNG Video: DV-AVI, Windows-AVI, DAT, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, DVR-MS, VOB, VRO, WMV, MOV, MOD, TOD, MPEG-4, MTS, M2TS, JTS, TS, M2T, 3GP, 3GPP2 Additional formats available on Windows 7: Divx, Xvid Audio: MP3, WAV, WMA, M4A Note: the supported file formats depend on the version of CyberLink PowerDirector you have installed on your computer. Check the readme file for detailed versioning information. Click to import media into the media room's library, using one of two options: • import media files individually. • import an entire folder that contains media files you want to use in your current project. Chapter 3:
Pre-Production
This chapter details the steps required for pre-production, including the import of
media into the Media Room’s library, the capture of media within CyberLink
PowerDirector and setting your CyberLink PowerDirector preferences.
Importing Media
If you already have video files, music and images that you want to use in your
production (for example on your computer’s hard drive, a removable device, etc.),
you can import the files directly into CyberLink PowerDirector’s library in the
Media Room.
CyberLink PowerDirector supports the following file formats:
Image:
JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, PNG
Video:
DV-AVI, Windows-AVI, DAT, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, DVR-MS, VOB, VRO, WMV,
MOV, MOD, TOD, MPEG-4, MTS, M2TS, JTS, TS, M2T, 3GP, 3GPP2
Additional formats available on Windows 7: Divx, Xvid
Audio:
MP3, WAV, WMA, M4A
Note:
the supported file formats depend on the version of CyberLink PowerDirector
you have installed on your computer. Check the readme file for detailed versioning
information.
Click
to import media into the media room’s library, using one of two
