58 Your T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide user guide Menu key There is a Menu key (just below Z), which you can use when the keyboard is open instead of pressing the Menu control button. This means, with the keyboard open, you can open the menu using your left hand (press the Menu key) and select a menu option with your right. Home key There is a Home key (to the left of Q), which you can use when the keyboard is open instead of pressing the Home control button. Setting keyboard shortcuts You can create shortcuts using the hardware keyboard to open applications on the phone. 1. Press HOME > MENU, and then tap Settings. 2. Scroll down the screen, and then tap Applications > Quick launch. 3. Scroll down the screen and then tap a letter you want to use as a shortcut. 4. Tap the application you want to associate with the shortcut key. Using the shortcut 1. Open the hardware keyboard. 2. Press and hold the SEARCH button (to the right of MENU) on the hardware keyboard. 3. Press the letter that is associated with the application you want to open.
