IP Routing Features Configuring RIP The information in this display includes the following fields, which are defined under ""RIP Interface Information" on page 3-33: IP Address, Status, Send mode, Recv mode, Metric, and Auth. The information also includes the following fields: ■ Bad packets received - The number of packets that were received on this interface and were not processed for any reason. ■ Bad routes received - The number of route entries that were received on this interface and were not processed for any reason. ■ Sent updates - The number of RIP routing updates that have been sent on this interface. Displaying RIP interface information by IP Address: For example, to show the RIP interface information for the interface with IP address 100.2.0.1, enter the show ip rip interface command as shown below: Figure 3-10. Example of Show IP RIP Interface Output by IP Address The information shown in this display has the same fields as for the display for a specific VLAN ID. See the previous page for the definitions of these fields. Syntax: show ip rip interface [ip-addr | vlan < vlan-id >] Displaying RIP Peer Information To display RIP peer information, enter the show ip rip peer command at any context level. 3-35
