Programmable keys* Function Turns computer display off if display is closed while the computer is on. Adjusts volume of internal speakers, or of external speakers or headphones if connected. Initiates and exits Suspend. (When pressed simultaneously with the Fn key, initiates Hibernation.) Indicates when caps lock is on, which capitalizes all newly typed text. Indicates when scroll lock is on. Indicates when num lock is on, which enables the embedded numeric keypad. Turns computer on (and off if Shut Down does not turn power off). Produce high-quality stereo sound. Turns on when a drive in the MultiBay is being accessed. Turns on when battery pack in the computer is charging; turns off when fully charged; blinks to indicate a lowbattery condition. Turns on when the hard drive in the hard drive bay is being accessed. Turns on when power to the computer is turned on; turns off when computer is off or in Hibernation; blinks when computer is in Suspend. Function the same as the left and right buttons on a mouse.
