NOTE: The installation of the tray heater in the 2000-sheet HCI and dual cassette feeder (DCF) are similar. CAUTION: The engine assembly is heavy and requires four people to lift. Table 8-3 On-site final setup tray heater in the HP LaserJet MFP E82540, E82550, E82560 ❑ Power down and unplug the MFP. CAUTION: Unplugging the device is MUST because the tray heaters are ALWAYS energized if the power cord is plugged in and the tray heater switch is ON. ❑ Unpack the tray heater. ❑ Open the tray on the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Rotate the latch on the left. ❑ Push in on the latch one the right. ❑ Remove the tray from the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Note the cable connector on the tray heater. ❑ Note the tabs on the rear of the tray heater. ❑ Route the cable through the opening in the rear wall of the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Insert the tabs on the rear of the tray heater into the slots in the rear wall of the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Install one screw to secure the tray heater. ❑ Remove the rear cover of the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Connect the cable from the tray heater to the cable of the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Reinstall the rear cover of the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Reinstall the tray into the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Remove tray 2 and 3 from the device. ❑ Locate the tray heater power switch in the rear of the tray opening. ❑ Turn the switch ON to apply power to the tray heater(s).
