CAUTION: Unplugging the device is MUST because the tray heaters are ALWAYS energized if the power cord is plugged in and the tray heater switch is ON. ❑ Unpack the tray heater. ❑ Open the tray on the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Rotate the latch on the left. ❑ Push in on the latch one the right. ❑ Remove the tray from the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Note the cable connector on the tray heater. ❑ Note the tabs on the rear of the tray heater. ❑ Route the cable through the opening in the rear wall of the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Insert the tabs on the rear of the tray heater into the slots in the rear wall of the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Install one screw to secure the tray heater. ❑ Remove the rear cover of the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Connect the cable from the tray heater to the cable of the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Reinstall the rear cover of the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Reinstall the tray into the 2000-sheet HCI. ❑ Remove tray 2 and 3 from the device. ❑ Locate the tray heater power switch in the rear of the tray opening. ❑ Turn the switch ON to apply power to the tray heater(s). The installation of the tray heater in the 2000-sheet HCI and dual cassette feeder (DCF) are similar.

On-site final setup tray heater in the HP LaserJet MFP E82540, E82550, E82560
Power down and unplug the MFP.
CAUTION:
Unplugging the device is MUST because the tray heaters are ALWAYS energized if the power cord is plugged in and the tray
heater switch is ON.
Unpack the tray heater.
Open the tray on the 2000-sheet HCI.
Rotate the latch on the left.
Push in on the latch one the right.
Remove the tray from the 2000-sheet HCI.
Note the cable connector on the tray heater.
Note the tabs on the rear of the tray heater.
Route the cable through the opening in the rear wall of the 2000-sheet HCI.
Insert the tabs on the rear of the tray heater into the slots in the rear wall of the 2000-sheet HCI.
Install one screw to secure the tray heater.
Remove the rear cover of the 2000-sheet HCI.
Connect the cable from the tray heater to the cable of the 2000-sheet HCI.
Reinstall the rear cover of the 2000-sheet HCI.
Reinstall the tray into the 2000-sheet HCI.
Remove tray 2 and 3 from the device.
Locate the tray heater power switch in the rear of the tray opening.
Turn the switch ON to apply power to the tray heater(s).
