Get printer usage and accounting information There are two types of information you can get related to printer usage: ● Accumulated usage information: information about the usage of different consumables (media and ink) during the complete life of the printer. ● Detailed job accounting information: information about the characteristics of specific scan and print jobs, such as who created it, when it was sent, termination status (successful, cancelled...) and there sources (ink and media) used to process it. This information can be accessed from the printer front panel, the Embedded Web Server and the printer utility, and it can be printed. The printer usage, status, and accounting information can also be requested by a third party application through a Software Development Kit provided by HP. The printer provides data in XML format to the application whenever requested. Getting usage information From the front panel Press View Information key to display the usage information in the front panel. By pressing this key repeatedly, you can also see information about the loaded papers, the ink levels, the printer's connection to the computer and the printhead status. From the Embedded Web Server 1. Access the Embedded Web Server, see Access the Embedded Web Server on page 16. 2. Go to the Main tab. 3. Select History > Usage. Get printer usage and accounting information
