Otherwise, the expansion card would block the IPMI slot for IPMI card installing. 1. Installing the IPMI card into the system a. Align the IPMI card with the open expansion slot. b. Press the IPMI card straight down into the expansion slot on the system board. (Step one in figure 45) 2. Align the PCI cage to the system board expansion slot, and then press it down to ensure full connection to the system board. 3. Tighten the two captive screws to secure the PCI cage to the chassis. To reinstall the PCI cage:
NOTE:
IPMI card must be installed before reinstalled the PCI cage with expansion card on PCIe riser
card. Otherwise, the expansion card would block the IPMI slot for IPMI card installing.
1.
Installing the IPMI card into the system
a.
Align the IPMI card with the open expansion slot.
b.
Press the IPMI card straight down into the expansion slot on the system board. (Step one in
figure 45)
2.
Align the PCI cage to the system board expansion slot, and then press it down to ensure full
connection to the system board.
3.
Tighten the two captive screws to secure the PCI cage to the chassis.
