6. Remove the front speakers (5). NOTE: When removing the front speakers, make note of the location of the rubber isolators (6). Failure to properly install or damage to these isolators can result in degraded speaker performance. Reverse this procedure to install the front speakers. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 28). 5. Remove the front speakers (see Front speakers on page 36). Remove the battery: 1. Disconnect the battery cable (1) from the system board. 2. Remove the battery:
1.
Disconnect the battery cable

from the system board.
2.
Remove the five Phillips PM2.5×4.2 screws

that secure the battery to the computer.
