3 Maintaining Your Deployment Database Upgrading from HP ConfigTailor 1.0 to HP ConfigTailor 1.1 Using this information, you can compare the current version of the driver stored in the deployment database with the latest versions available on Hewlett-Packard's Web Site which you can link to directly from this window (the URL is http://www.hp.com/go/kayaksupport). Upgrading from HP ConfigTailor 1.0 to HP ConfigTailor 1.1 If you have already created a deployment database using HP ConfigTailor 1.0, you can easily update to HP ConfigTailor 1.1 without losing any of your existing deployment database contents or configuration profiles. 1 While running Windows NT 4.0 on your deployment database server, insert the HP ConfigTailor 1.1 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. The CD-ROM's AutoRun feature will open up the HP ConfigTailor Welcome screen on your default web browser (see page 12). 2 On the menu bar on the left side of the screen, click Update From Version 1.0 to 1.1. The web browser will automatically scroll to a short description of how to update to the latest version of HP ConfigTailor. Click Go to begin the update. 3 HP ConfigTailor's setup utility will start and the installation screen will appear. After a few moments, a screen will appear telling you that a previous installation of HP ConfigTailor has been detected. HP ConfigTailor 1.1 will be installed in the same destination folder as the previous installation, thereby upgrading your deployment database. Select Yes and click Next to continue. NOTE Note that you cannot install HP ConfigTailor 1.1 to a new destination folder on a server which already has a previous HP ConfigTailor installed. You must either upgrade your existing HP ConfigTailor deployment database, or install HP ConfigTailor 1.1 on a different server using the procedure described in "Installing HP ConfigTailor 1.1" on page 12.
