A display connected via serial communication must have an ID assigned. HP Network Sign Manager uses this ID to communicate with the display connected to the computer using the serial cable. To control a display, select an ID of the display that you wish to control in the Monitor Register Window pane. NOTE: If you select Monitor 0 in the Monitor Register Window pane, you can control all displays regardless of the IDs. However, controlling all displays by selecting Monitor 0 prevents you from receiving acknowledgement (ACK) data from the displays. Making a group The following describes how to create a display group: 1. Right-click the Group node in the Monitor Register Window pane. 2. Click Make Group. The Make Group dialog appears.
