Make sure you are using the telephone cord that came with the device. Disconnect the fax cable from the telephone jack, and then connect a telephone. Make a phone call to ensure that the telephone line is working. Do one of the following: ● Discontinue the messaging service. ● Get a telephone line dedicated to fax calls. ● Decrease the rings-to-answer setting for the fax to a number less than the rings-to-answer for the voice mail.
