Removal and replacement procedures Remove the hard drive: 1. Position the computer with the front toward you. 2. Loosen the two Phillips PM2.0×6.0 captive screws 1 that secure the hard drive cover to the computer. 3. Lift the left side 2 of the hard drive cover to detach it from the computer. 4. Remove the hard drive cover 3. The hard drive cover is included in the Plastics Kit, spare part number 577211-001. 5. Loosen the Phillips PM2.5×11.0 captive screw 1 that secures the hard drive to the computer. 6. Grasp the Mylar tab 2 in the hard drive bay, and then lift it up to disconnect the hard drive from the system board. 7. Grasp the Mylar tab 3 on the hard drive, and then remove the hard drive 4 from the hard drive bay. 4-10 Maintenance and Service Guide
