Removal and replacement procedures 4. Release the ZIF connector 1 to which the TouchPad cable is attached, and then disconnect the TouchPad cable 2 from the system board. 5. Lift the rear edge of the palm rest 3 until it detaches from the computer, and then swing the palm rest up and forward until it rests upside down in front of the computer. 6.
