SAS hard drive blank CAUTION: For proper cooling do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles, expansion slot covers, or blanks installed. If the server supports hot-plug components, minimize the amount of time the access panel is open. Remove the component as indicated. To replace the blank, slide the blank into the bay until it locks into place. SAS/SATA hard drive CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all bays are populated with either a component or a blank. To remove the component: 1. Determine the status of the hard drive from the hot-plug SAS hard drive LED combinations ("SAS hard drive LED combinations" on page 100). 2. Back up all server data on the hard drive. 3. Remove the hard drive. To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure. DVD-ROM drive To remove the component: 1. Power down the server (on page 26). 2. Extend the server from the rack. 3. CAUTION:
